The history trail is aimed at anyone looking for a around the city and will be guided around to several historical spots. Once a team arrives at a location they will have to check-in online and gather select information about that spot to complete the task.

At certain points, both trails overlap and a number of some Irish celebrities from radio and TV will be appearing to help the teams along.
Margaret Smith, chief organiser of World Social Media Day Cork, said: "Since the launch of World Social Media Day Cork back in April we have received so much support from the people of Cork, its great to have the backing of so many wonderful local businesses and to be able showcase Cork’s rebel spirit."
