Grab Radio World
For: Ovi, iOS

Grab Radio uses the meta data broadcast as part of a radio signal to identify songs on and guide listeners to purchase (i.e. ‘grab’) music in iTunes and Ovi stores without the aid of a computer.
If no metadata is provided in the broadcast, a built-in Shazam button can recorgnise a track from its massive catalogue. Users can also ‘tag’ music to a playlist for reviewing later.
Listeners can search for a station by name or browse through five different categories: local radio, talk radio, sports, music genres – all of which can be broken down by location.
A ‘more’ function allows the user to check out artists’ presence on Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and watch their videos on YouTube.
Only available on iPhone and Nokia/Symbian devices for now, but versions for Windows Phone 7, Blackberry and Android are in the works.

Sky Go
For: Android

One less reason for iOS users to be smug, Sky’s mobile service, Sky Go, has arrived for a selection of Android devices from HTC and Samsung.
Sky TV customers will be able to access all five Sky Sports channels, ESPN, Sky News and 11 Sky Movies channels via the Sky Go app in line with their subscription on a selection of Android smartphones.
Sky 1, Sky Living and Sky Arts 1 will also be rolled out to Sky Go, with the full entertainment suite including Sky Atlantic available on Android smartphones by the end of February, with Sky Sports’ F1 channel coming in March.

When is a tip tackle not a tip tackle? You have two options to be sure: ask Stephen Ferris or just consult this app for Nokia smartphones. The latter is the safer option.
