Computerlinks has signed a distribution agreement covering Ireland and Britain with Akorri, a provider of virtual infrastructure performance and capacity management solutions.

The move follows Computerlinks’ recent remodelling of its business to deliver what it describes as margin-rich channel services around new and emerging technologies such as virtualisation, cloud computing and IP-based physical security.

Akorri’s BalancePointa software lets IT administrators visualise their infrastructure, identify and troubleshoot performance problems, plan future capacity requirements and measure infrastructure service levels to demonstrate efficient resource utilisation.

In March Computerlinks launched a suite of virtualisation capacity planning, design and implementation services.

Computerlinks’ David Ellis noted: “Akorri complements products such as the Virtual Machine Company’s VSA appliances, and will help create opportunities for security, storage and virtualisation resellers wanting to focus on this fast-growing space.”
