Interxion, a provider of carrier-neutral data centres and managed services, has received SunTone certification for a further 12 months across all of its European businesses.
Interxion opened its 1,200sq m Dublin data centre in May 2001. The Irish operation now has some 40 customers across e-commerce, corporate and financial services sectors.
‘To date, more than 880 service providers from around the world have applied and been audited for the certification, of which 170 have been accredited,’ said Chris Nottingham, SunTone manager, Sun Microsystems. ‘Interxion is the only pan-European company to have received this for all European locations simultaneously and now for the second time for its laudably high standards.’
Certification under the SunTone Program is granted to companies that meet best practice in the areas of infrastructure, operations, hardware, software, storage, security and overall service delivery.
