I was reminded yet again of the value of customer service on a recent trip to a restaurant in Howth Co Dublin.
The restaurant, obviously uncomfortable with children, shunted my good self, wife and seven-month-old son into the furthest reaches of the establishment in an effort to keep us apart from their other “childless”, and obviously more valuable, customers.
It wasn’t pleasent and we won’t be going back again.
