Waterford County Council planning resource goes live

Waterford County Council has introduced a new online resource for planning information in its catchment area.

The website uses IMGS’ Location Publisher to share data and visualised by Safe Software’s FME (feature manipulation engine) solition gathered from the Council’s planning submissions.

John Horgan, GIS Officer at Waterford County Council, said: "The benefit of using IMGS Location Publisher to display planning information is two-fold. Firstly, citizens have easier access to information about planning information in their area. Secondly, it reduces the call volume from citizens enquiring about planning information, and reduces the footfall into the offices, allowing staff to concentrate on more complex tasks."
