UPC Ireland is creating 12 new IT vacancies for its new European Competency Centre in Limerick. The centre is tasked with developing advanced new software and systems and currently employs 400 staff.

In February, UPC completed a €600,000 investment in its newly redeveloped national customer contact and administration centre at Roxboro Road in Limerick Enterprise Development Park.

To date, UPC has invested €500 million in its national fibre powered network and employs 800 people in Ireland.

This investment follows UPC’s announcement last week of 30 fulltime positions to candidates from the Jobseekers Support Programme operated by the CCMA Skillnet, where UPC is a programme participant.

This is a technical transition programme for job seekers from non-technical backgrounds who are looking for opportunities to change careers and gain employment.
