Netflix has released its first top 10 chart naming the best ISPs in Ireland, with UPC awarded top spot. According to figures released by the online movie service, the average stream speed was 2.22Mb/s. In second place was Magnet on 2Mb/s. Imagine came in third, delivering an average of 1.68Mb/s on average.
Mobile networks occupied the final four slots in the chart. Vodafone mobile was the best in a category with a top speed of .51Mb/s falling down to .43Mb/s for Three.
Nteflix’s service requires a minimum connection speed of .5Mb/s.
According to vice president of product development Greg Peters the figures represent an average performance, with the results influenced by factors such as variation in devices and tarriffs.
