Samsung’s flagship smartphone for 2014, the Galaxy S5 is a more outdoorsy improvement on the S4, with a built-in heart rate sensor and better resistance to sweat, rain, liquids, sand and dust.
Running Android 4.4.2 KitKat its list of neat tricks include ‘swipe to pay’ transactions and a fingerprint scanner.
The S5 measures 142.36×72.5×8.1mm and weighing 145g, the S5 has a 5.1” super AMOLED screen; 2.5Ghz quad-core application processor with 2Gb RAM; 16Gb memory, Micro SD card slot; 2Gb of RAM; Wi-Fi, NFC and Bluetooth connectivity.
It also comes with a 16MP camera with HDR, selective focus and virtual tour shot, and 2MP front camera. Battery life is estimated at 390 hours standby and 21 hours talk time.
