Trade

25 March 2014

With just over three weeks to go to the entry deadline for the this year’s Tech Excellence Awards (formerly ICT Excellence Awards), it is opportune to consider which category you might enter. Last years winners included many top companies like Arkphire, Strata 3, Unity Technology Solutions, Version 1 and Commtech among others. There are different categories of Award recognising excellence among IT firms, individuals and teams of all ages who work within the exciting sphere of IT.

Consider former Young Person of the Year Award winners like the Collison Brothers and Paddy Cosgrave who have gone on to achieve great things and encourage all young entrepreneurs to enter. If you are part of a project team, look at the work and results of your own IT project with or without your I provider and plan to enter. Companies like Irish Life, EasyTrip and the Irish Aviation Authority are among former category winners.

Winning one of these coveted Awards is not just good on a corporate CV but will look top class on your own one. Recognition of this nature from your peers is invaluable. The panel of Judges is made up of highly experienced individuals with deep sectoral knowledge like Dr Jim Mountjoy, Eoin O’Driscoll, Sean Baker, Peter MacManamon, Karl Flannery and Tom McCarthy

There are already award sponsors like Oracle, Eircom, Avnet Technology Solutions, Data Solutions, eircom, CMS, Spanish Point Technologies the ICS and lots more.

So plan on mixing it with the great and the good. Time is still on your side to participate and to sponsor so soon you could have a well deserved  grin from ear-to-ear standing at the Winners podium on 15 May.
