Three companies have made job announcements today promising up to 276 new positions in Tipperary, Waterford and Kilkenny.

Customer service solution provider Eishtec is creating 200 jobs at a custom-built centre in Clonmel, Co Tipperary over the next six months.

Eishtec started trading in May 2011 with just nine employees, and already employs 1,300 people across its sites in Waterford, Wexford and Craigavon. The company supports major UK brands such as EE, the largest and most advanced digital communications company in Britain, delivering mobile and fixed communications services to the UK market. The jobs created will provide customer service support for the UK market.

Bluefin Payment Systems, which provides a secure payment platform for merchants, independent software vendors (ISVs) and financial institutions is to establish a technology & operations centre in Waterford City, creating 40 new jobs over the next three years.

The privately owned company, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, is establishing an international office at Cleaboy Business Park in Waterford. Bluefin is establishing a network operating centre, responsible for monitoring the company’s security and payment processing platforms. Ongoing growth at the Waterford location will be fuelled by information technology, customer support, and sales personnel to support the existing North American market and planned growth in Europe.

Bluefin expects to collaborate closely with the Telecommunications Software & Systems Group at Waterford Institute of Technology.

Finally, Information security systems provider CipherTechs also announced the creation of up to 36 jobs at its Kilkenny operation over the next five years.
