Sky has recently launched its Sky By Wire service on Smart Telecom’s broadband network.  Consumers can now sign up to their selection of premium sports and movie channels directly from Sky in addition to the existing communications provided by Smart Telecom.

Sky By Wire is a new service from Sky that has been developed to make Sky’s channels available to customers on the growing number of television distribution platforms. Following the recent announcement, network services will be provided by Smart Telecom via its Smart Vision division, which offers a triple play service, incorporating a television, telephone and broadband internet service, to new build residential developments in Dublin.

The Smart Vision service comprises over 70 digital TV channels, 15 radio channels, a telephone service (including €25 of free calls a month for each individual user) and unlimited access to a 2MB internet connection.

Customers receive just one bill for the Smart Vision service, which costs just €100 a month (including VAT) for each individual end user. Smart Vision customers will now also have access to the Sky by Wire Service, with an additional charge.

Prices range from €31.50 to €49.50 per month for customers with one set top box. However, as a special introductory offer, there will be a three month half price offer available to all Smart Telecom customers who subscribe to Sky By Wire before 31 December. Sky By Wire is expected to be rolled out across further broadband networks throughout the country as the sector evolves. Customers who are interested in availing of the Sky service can contact Smart Telecom on 1800 718 591.
