SMC Networks’ Barricade SMC7404BRA (wired) and SMC7404WBRA (wireless) are all-in-one ADSL router devices designed for remote offices.

Both routers combine a printer port, four 10/100 RJ45 ports for connection to a PC or network and an additional RJ11 port that connects to an ADSL line. The integrated ADSL modem provides broadband Internet access to multiple users (up to 253) by sharing a single user account, and removes the need to buy or rent a separate ADSL modem. A built in print server also allows multiple users to share a single printer. Also included is a Firewall with Stateful Packet Inspection.

The routers enable the blocking of designated Websites, either by URL or keyword associated with the Website. A Web-based management tool and a built-in DHCP server simplify Internet connection. In addition, a graphical user interface is supplied for installation, configuration and management, and e-mail alerts are supplied with the wireless version to alert the user to attempts to hack into the network.
