Take a look around your living room: There’s the TV, obviously. Underneath that, you’ve the DVD player, VCR and Sky box. To the left, there’s an impressive sound system. And if you are a bit more techie than your average consumer, you might even have a wireless music device streaming your MP3s over your home wireless network
from your PC in the bedroom. So many devices, so many remote controls, and chances are, you spend more time looking for them than actually using them.
The solution? A universal remote control. The Kameleon One For All six-in-one universal remote control looks after your TV, VCR, DVD player, satellite/cable box, audio and CD players. The remote has to be programmed to work with your various devices — a list of codes can be found in the instruction manual provided. You can also
assign different functions to a few programmable buttons, just in case the remote control doesn’t cover every function on your chosen device.
It has an electro-luminous display, which lights up when it detects motion, with different keys lighting up depending on the device you are using. We liked the moving tape on the VCR key and the animated DVD disc. What can we say — we’re easily amused!
The One for All remote control is available from electrical stores and costs an estimated €99.99.
