Motorola has launched a new Bluetooth wireless headset. Measuring 5cm in diametre and weighing less than 26g, the headset can be used to wirelessly control and answer a compatible-mobile phone from up to ten metres without the need for a direct line of sight. Once charged, the headset offers up to three days standby and 2.5 hours talktime.

A Bluetooth handsfree car kit is also available. Mounted onto the dashboard, a control panel allows the driver to control their mobile phone without the need to touch the phone itself or to have any wires or cables installed in the car. When the car’s ignition is switched on, the Bluetooth link is automatically established allowing the user to place, via voice recognition, end or make a call via the remote control panel, while leaving the handset in a handbag, briefcase or in a pocket.

The wireless headset and PC card retails for €179 while a price has yet to be announced for the Car Kit. Contact your local mobile phone dealer for more details.
