Music on your mobile

Motorola and Apple are teaming up to enable millions of music lovers to transfer their favourite songs to their mobiles. Mobile users will be able to move music from the iTunes jukebox on their PC or Mac, including songs from the iTunes Music Store, to Motorola’s next-generation ‘always with you’ mobile handsets, via a USB or Bluetooth connection.

Apple will create a new iTunes mobile music player, which Motorola will make the standard music application on all their mass-market music phones, expected to be available in the first half of next year.

Meanwhile, Apple has also introduced another new iPod to its range. The fourth generation iPod isn’t too much different from the third generation device — it includes the Click Wheel technology that iPod Mini showcased, 12 hours of battery life and a new command Shuffle Songs. According to Apple, it’s also a smaller design.
