Asbis Ireland has been made an authorised distributor in Ireland for Kingston Technology’s ValueRAM, HyperX and Flash product ranges.

Kingston entered the Flash memory business on a large scale in 2003, and in 2007 its global revenues from these products topped $4.5 billion, up $800 million from 2006.

The manufacturer reports it had also seen significant growth in its ValueRAM industry-standard memory, HyperX memory for gamers and PC enthusiasts, and “a phenomenal jump” in its branded memory in 2007.

Asbis Ireland MD Trish Egan noted: “We are delighted to add Kingston Technology as another major offering to our portfolio and look forward to offering the benefits of their memory technology to our channel partners and their customers”.

Kingston Technology’s Ann Keefe, regional director for Ireland & UK, sees the partnership as an excellent opportunity for the firm to increase market share in Ireland. “Asbis has firmly established a reputation as a supplier of choice for system builders and resellers, and is an ideal partner that will help us increase our market share,” she said.
