Mainstream Renewable Power has signed a contract with Dell that will see it become the company’s new hardware technology provider.

Mainstream and Dell worked together for some time before the contract was agreed to identify the best proposition for the company.

Mark Kane, enterprise architect at Mainstream Renewable Power, explained: “By offering a one-vendor solution at a competitive price, Dell was successful in winning our business across both devices and storage solutions. Safely and securely migrating to the new technology was our priority and Dell was with us every step of the way.

“Mainstream’s investment in Dell’s state-of-the-art compellent storage technology gives us a secure and performant platform for our private cloud business systems and Big Data, allowing us to transition individual systems to public cloud software-as-a-service offerings as and when the time is right.”

Robbie Kennedy, service delivery manager for Mainstream added: “We attended a number of workshops and executive briefings with Dell at its solutions centre in Limerick. Through the sessions we were able to experience the client devices and solutions and adapt proposals to suit our needs, so it really made the experience very personalised, resulting in us making the best-informed decision on our new client estate for Mainstream’s highly mobile workforce”.
