Magico, an e-commerce technology company based in Ennis, Co Clare is to hire 12 staff in software development, sales and support.
The company is pursuing further growth as part of a €500,000 research and development project around its Magico DARE advanced Big Data analytics system. The initiative is supported with by Enterprise Ireland.
Established in 2000, the company already has major Irish retailers and brands among its clients. It currently employs 12 staff in software development and analytics.
Magico managing director Paul Montwill (pictured) said: “Every business grows one sale at a time, transaction by transaction. Through a greater personalisation of the user experience companies can sell more goods and services to individuals, including recommendations and offers that are tailored to the users browsing history. This is exactly how market leaders such as Amazon can have a conversion rate of 18% from the traffic to their site.”
Magico’s clients include retailers McElhinneys.com, McGuirks Golf, Conn’s Cameras, Johnstown Garden Centre, McSport.ie, Pittman Traffic and Safety and Trailblazers.
