Lack of knowledge to evaluate SDN potentially holding back implementation

Software defined networking (SDN) is undoubtedly here and changing the way that enterprise procure, design and implement networking technologies.

However, the early indicators from a TechPro survey, in association with Dimension Data, are that while a large proportion (40%) of Irish enterprises are actively evaluating or considering implementing SDN technologies, the chief concern among respondents so far is a lack of knowledge to properly evaluate the technologies.

Despite this fear, nearly a quarter (23%) of Irish enterprise are already actively using SDN technologies.
