Primary inhibitor
“Organisations pursuing enterprise-grade mobility need to look beyond MDM and consider mobile security in an end-to-end way” Niamh_O'Donovan_Enterprise_Solutions_HR

Enterprise Solutions: Niamh O’Donovan

Security is still the primary inhibitor to enterprise mobility, but it doesn’t need to be. Enterprise Solutions are Citrix XenMoblile 10 advocates, as it is a comprehensive solution to manage mobile devices, apps, and data. As we see it the solution is ticking all the boxes, it is not just another Mobile Device Management (MDM) or Mobile Application Management (MAM) solution.Citrix XenMobile 10 was announced at Citrix Summit 2015 and it brings mobile management to a different level with simplified administration, scalability and deployment along with improved security. It is widely agreed being a mobile enterprise means employees are happier and more productive. With mobile access to their email, apps and data companies are accommodating an improved work-life balance and this in turn offers competitive advantages. But providing this brings security concerns; from passcode enforcement to device encryption, data breach and data leakage. Are you opening access to your internal network?

Organisations pursuing enterprise-grade mobility need to look beyond MDM and consider mobile security in an end-to-end way – across devices, apps, network and data. Enterprise Solutions understand that a solution that goes beyond basic lock-and-wipe capabilities is required which is why we propose XenMobile to all our clients looking to mobilise their workforce. With Citrix XenMobile users have single-click access to all of their mobile, SaaS and Windows apps from a unified corporate app store, including email, browser, data sharing and support apps. IT gains control over mobile devices with full configuration, security, provisioning and support capabilities. In addition, XenMobile securely delivers business mobile apps. With XenMobile from Enterprise Solutions, IT can meet their compliance and control needs while users get the freedom to experience work and life their way.

Company cloud identity
“The secure management of this wide range of devices and enterprise mobility services is the greatest challenge facing organisations today” Gerry_Hampson_ErgoErgo: Gerry Hampson, senior consultant engineer, Network Services
Many employees are now requesting (or demanding) that their employers allow them to use devices they’ve chosen and are comfortable using. They also expect to be able to use these devices to connect to corporate resources from anywhere in the world. The secure management of this wide range of devices and enterprise mobility services is the greatest challenge facing organisations today. There are a number of issues to be addressed so that these modern trends can be embraced. Security factors such as- how do secure these personal devices? How will device applications be managed? Securing of company data is also a factor for consideration, while a company cloud identity will also need to be provided to allow seamless access to resources.Ergo leverage a Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Suite (EMS) which addresses all these challenges and more. EMS a Microsoft Licensing bundle consists of three Microsoft cloud services: Microsoft Azure Active Directory Premium facilitates identity in the cloud, Microsoft Intune allows for Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM), while Microsoft Azure RMS allows for document rights management, security and protection. Purchasing Ergo’s EMS bundle is the most economical and efficient way to purchase the products.

EMS is an extremely high priority for Microsoft for 2015/16 they have committed to adding new features to the solution monthly. So far they have achieved their goal. June 2015 seen the release of Intune Managed Outlook apps for iOS and Android. You can now restrict actions such as cut, copy, paste, and “save as” of corporate data between the Intune-managed Outlook app and personal apps. The new Outlook apps also support conditional access and you can restrict unmanaged and non-compliant devices from accessing corporate email. These were eagerly awaited new features and the future looks bright for this technology.

Ergo have successfully deployed EMS in numerous enterprises and it will continue to be a prominent offering within Ergo’s solution portfolio.

The tool challenge
“Another challenge is knowing how to implement applications and software across the board so that all devices are seamlessly working together to enhance communication and productivity” john_caseyTrilogy_webTrilogy Technologies: John Casey, sales director
Enterprise mobility has proved to be an opportunity for organisational transformation. A mobile workforce working with the right mobile tools and with instant access to information can realise business benefits such as better customer service, employee satisfaction, new business opportunities and reduced operating costs.Providing employees with the tools necessary to perform well is the first challenge facing organisations. Introducing a mobile strategy which has been developed by a mobility group comprising representatives from across the impacted groups/departments and include technical, support and research and development personnel and/or an outsourced partner is an excellent way to invite the use of tools. Another challenge is knowing how to implement applications and software across the board so that all devices are seamlessly working together to enhance communication and productivity while allowing for the easy flow of mobile information gathering and inputting.

As a trusted partner to organisations, Trilogy Technologies works to design, develop and implement enterprise mobility strategies and effectively enforce, manage, monitor and further develop realistic mobile business policies. This includes taking security for compliance, device management for administration and application development techniques for optimal user experience into account.

Trilogy designs, implements and manages agile infrastructure helping clients to enhance their operations, mitigate risk and enable business strategy. The company incorporates expertise in both infrastructure transformation and Managed IT as a Service to deliver business-wide IT services.
