ICS Leadership Programme – a Recap

The 4 and 5 June saw the ICS play host to a unique two-day course addressing the challenges CIOs and Senior IT Leaders face in today’s fast-paced IT environment. The ICS Leadership Programme aimed to create an understanding of the many elements of the CIO role, as well as equipping attendees with skills to drive innovation and strategic participation.

Tutors Dr Stephen McLaughlin and Dr Brian Davis brought years of experience and knowledge to the event. A highly practical course, day one ended with an open Q&A session while day two focused on strategic thinking and how to become an effective influencer across an organisation.

After the ICS Leadership Programme wrapped, the participants attended a networking dinner in the Herbert Park Hotel.

The IT Architect’s Conference is back and even better!

Improve your Scrum Skills

Scrum is the agile software development methodology most widely used, with over 70% of organisations choosing it. With such high usage, a certification in Scrum is a must to ensure that staff are fully competent and trained in the field.

Jeff Sutherland and Ken Schwaber, creators of Scrum, have defined key concepts and practices in Scrum — and the ICS has worked to ensure that these concepts inform the Professional ScrumMaster certification scheme. The Professional ScrumMaster course teaches Scrum based on practical real-world experiences. Tutor Fran O’ Hara relies on real-world experience to prepare participants for the online PSM Level 1 assessment. With over 27 years of experience in the software industry, Fran is an experienced coach and trainer of agile and its methodology.

Don’t miss out on the JIRA User Bootcamp!

The JIRA User Bootcamp is a specialised training course for professionals with little experience in the field but who work in an environment where JIRA is a part of the workflow.

The JIRA User Bootcamp has been designed and delivered by Atlassian Expert partners and will equip participants with the required skills to effectively carry out their JIRA responsibilities. Based on JIRA version 6.4, the Bootcamp is an immersive, practical workshop that runs on the 15 June.
