The technology has been rolled out and workplace cultures have changed, but now that the Covid-19 pandemic is largely behind us what are organisations’ long-term expectations from their workforce? Are we in the midst of a great return to the office, the normalisation of hybrid models or the decline of traditional work spaces altogether?

We have recently seen examples of each, with Apple looking for a full return to the office, Facebook accepting a partial return and SMEs around the country freeing up staff to work how they will as a means of retaining talent.

But how far are companies willing to go to maintain existing levels of productivity and profitability, and are problems like virtual meeting fatigue bringing new challenges to managers?
