Adaptec’s DuraStor 312R is an ultra-high-density SCSI drive enclosure for centralised data storage.

The enterprise-class enclosure, also known as a JBOD or ‘just a bunch of drives’, lets users store and retrieve massive amounts of data. It is fully redundant and comes in a 2u size.

The Ultra 160 SCSI disk array system provides an optimised disk storage environment for applications such as streaming video, rich media, transaction processing, and digital pre-press.

The DuraStor 312 storage enclosure also provides complete fault tolerance and guards against any single point of failure with full system redundancy and hot swappability.

Adaptec has also released the DuraStor 722OSS & 622OSS Storage Subsystems. These are highly available fault-tolerant SCSI and Fibre Channel products for direct-attached and networked storage.

They are intended for data-centre style operations or businesses with requirements for data warehousing, transaction processing, streaming video, medical imaging, digital pre-press or other data-intensive, mission-critical applications.

Providing maximum data storage availability, Adaptec DuraStor subsystems include a 1u Raid appliance that can hold up to two RAID controller cards and a 2u SCSI storage enclosure that holds up 12 drives. These combine into the 3u DuraStor subsystem.
