Dell Ireland signed a €100,000 contract with Irish pet food producer C&D Foods to implement a new hardware platform for managing the company’s expanding manufacturing operations.

C&D’s expansion has took a step forward in 2012 with the acquisition of Danish company Arovit Acquisitions to become the second-biggest private label operator in its sector in Europe. Dell’s solution therefore needed to provide an efficient platform to run the C&D Foods production system on a 24-hour basis.

Dermot O’Connell, general manager, Dell Ireland, said: "The role that the right technical solution can play to drive further business growth continues to grow and as a result Dell now works with a wide variety of businesses across a number of sectors in the country delivering tailored solutions to help address their business needs and opportunities. We are able to deliver cost savings as well as an effective method of managing larger customer databases through the delivery of solutions that are specifically tailored to each business or organisation."
