The event, which will take place on Wednesday 22 February at the National Software Centre in Mahon, Cork, will include presentations from three Decare Systems speakers.
Eamonn Franklin, the company’s software development manager, will provide an introduction to SOA, discuss why it’s needed and talk about where it is today. Yagiz Erkan, DSI’s chief architect, will cover the topic “Service Orientation, do we know what it means and can we keep it simple?”, while Anthony Geoghegan, a framework architect, will conclude with “Web services security, let’s talk implementations”.
Aimed at both management and technical staff, the event will cover topics like SOA’s impact on and benefits to the industry, as well as practical security coding implementations. The presentations will begin at 18.00 and will last for around an hour. They’ll be followed by refreshments and the opportunity for informal chat and networking.
The event is free to all employees of It@cork member companies. For non-members, the cost is €20 per person.
