One of the main lessons for CIOs over the past two years has been how to lead and manage a team in a virtual environment, according to Zoom’s Harry Moseley.

Moseley shared his experience with Magnet+ CEO John Delves on a video call in advance of the 2022 Tech Excellence Awards.

Moseley noted that as the Covid-19 pandemic forced staff into working remotely, teams were no longer being led and managed according to their personnel but according to outcomes.

Padraigh Griffin, CIO of EVAD IT Solutions, said the pandemic showed the value of the CIO role as companies were forced into digital transformation.

Alexandre Ramos, CIO of Liberty Insurance, noted the role of employee resilience and the importance of developing partnerships within the business to navigate the pandemic.

The Tech Excellence Awards in association with Magnet+ took place on 25 May at the Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire. For a full list of winners click here.
