Xerox-owned IBS has appointed Alan Brown as managing director following the retirement of company founder Jerry Carey. Brown will report to Diego Hervas, president of Xerox’s European Channels Group.

Brown previously held a number of senior positions in the telecommunications industry most recently as deputy CEO and business director, Telefónica O2 Ireland.

On accepting his position, Brown said: “IBS has a strong brand and a tremendous team of employees. I look forward to working with them to further strengthen the value we bring to customers throughout the island of Ireland.”

IBS claims more than 18,000 clients across corporate, SME and public sector organisations and has offices in Dublin, Belfast, Cork, Galway, Portlaoise, Derry and Limerick.
