Baker Tilly Ryan Glennon is entering a strategic partnership with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software developer Unit4. Under the deal, the Dublin-based Accounting and business advisory firm will provide support services to higher education institutions looking to implement Unit4’s Business World ERP software.

Terry McAdam, performance improvement consulting partner, Baker Tilly Ryan Glennon, said: “We are delighted to announce this collaboration. I expect it to deliver real value to our shared clients within the education sector as ourselves and Unit4 expand and align our product and service offering”.

Baker Tilly Ryan Glennon recently assisted DIT, IT Tallaght and IT Blanchardstown to plan their amalgamation and potential technological university status. Unit4 already provides software to higher education institutions in both Ireland, where its clients include UCC, UL, RCSI, QUB and DCU.

“Higher education institutions are under pressure to recruit students and deliver world-class research,” said Tracey Dunlop, head of alliances in the UK and Ireland for Unit4. “Our combined expertise in education will help Irish institutions reduce the time they spend on non-strategic activities like administration so that they can focus on delivering superb research and teaching services.”

Terry added: “Baker Tilly Ryan Glennon recognises the need for simpler, more agile systems that can be implemented quickly without risk. Our education sector clients are looking at every aspect of how they interact with their students, staff, policy-makers and other stakeholders as they chart the way forward, together with Unit4 we look forward to helping them progress along their chosen path.”
