Aer TV

Aertv’s iOS application gives free access to all the broadcast channels in Ireland. This is the first time that RTE and TV3 will be together in an app that is available without having to subscribe to a paid service. Subscribers paying €5.99 per month can access up to 26 channels including premium channels, such as BBC, MTV and Comedy Central.
An Android version has been flagged for future release.




Xbox Music

Microsoft is bringing its subscription Xbox Music Pass service to iOS and Android devices. As with Xbox, Windows 8 and Windows Phone, Xbox Music Pass offers unlimited access to the songs and artists you want at any time with playback across tablets, PCs, phones and Xbox consoles for €9.99 per month (€99.90) per year.
Playlists can sync across devices via the cloud.

Style Eyes
For: iOS, Android

Dubbed ‘Shazam of the fashion world’, Style Eyes matches pictures you’ve taken of whatever clothes you like the look of and tries to match them against a database of well-known retailers. If you find what you’re looking for you can get a discount by opting to buy via the app.
Using image recognition technology developed at DCU, the app has an online catalogues of 350,000 items across 1,300 brands including House of Fraser, Coast and Debenhams.
