Cork Airport’s app has been around a while but it’s just introduced a tracking feature that show aircraft routes, speed, type, altitude, distance travelled and total distance to destination. Also added is a real time map of flights, which can be filtered to show specific arrivals and departures.
QuizUp

Many quiz apps follow a similar model – multiple choice questions from a preset list of categories. In this respect QuizUp sticks to the norm, where it excels is in the variety of topics (over 600) and questions (400,000). There are also options for playing against and chatting with other users over the Internet. You can even post your scores to leader boards.
Cord

In the spirit of Twitter, Vine and Snapchat, Cord is an app for delivering voice messages of 12 seconds or less. Send messages to individuals or groups, listen to them and they automatically disappear or favourite important ones and save them forever. Perhaps not the best way to manage a conversation and it does require your contacts to download it, as well. We’d consider more an interesting experiment than a pure SMS alternative.
