NEC Display Solutions has expanded its range of projectors for classroom use with the arrival of the U-series.

Designed for use with interactive whiteboards the new projectors, it is claimed, require ‘throwing distances’ of less than 60cm between the mirror in front of the lens to fill a whiteboard of up to 87″ in size.

The integrated desktop mode means the projectors can also be used on a table, sideboard or a mobile trolley. Thereby, widescreen format offers a larger projection surface and allows users to play video content in native aspect ratio.

Analogue and digital inputs include HDMI, two computer inputs, monitor out and LAN input for control and monitoring. The range is also 3D-compatible.
