Offering the advanced management and security functions available, the new 802.3af Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) switch can supply up to 375 watts of power through its LAN ports to devices such as IP phones, IP cameras and wireless access points. With a total data throughput of up to 12.5Gps, the ES-3124PWR functions at full wire speed.
With powerful traffic management capabilities, the ES-3124PWR uses Iflow with intelligent traffic policy to ensure mission critical traffic is free from congestion. It also supports Istacking, for single IP management for up to 24 switches across a network, and Imanage, a suite of tools allowing industry standard management via a Web GUI, Script or CLI to save training costs. In addition, the Weighted Fair Queuing (WFQ) scheduling algorithm allocates appropriate bandwidth to important voice and video applications.
Conforming to IEEE 802.3af standard, the ES-3124PWR supports all PoE on all LAN ports without power restrictions. Its ability to transmit through existing CAT-5 UTP cabling allows for single cabling, centralised remote power monitoring and plug-and-play convenience and flexibility. As a result, organisations benefit from lower deployment cost, higher management efficiency and future reconfiguration flexibility. Its four built-in Gigabit/SFP slot Uplink ports offer trunking and link aggregation, flexibility and extendibility to core switch or servers while the optional back up power module offers enhanced reliability.
