Vodafone Ireland has begun accepting applications for the third Returning to Technology Programme.

The 26-week work placement scheme at Vodafone’s technology department is aimed at attracting people who had either previously worked in technology or who are looking for a career change into the sector.

Madalina Suceveanu, technology director at Vodafone Ireland, said: “Our aim in Vodafone is to deliver unbeatable technology and IT solutions that will empower our customers to be confidently connected.

“The technology sector changes at a fast pace and that can be daunting for people who are getting back to work after a long break so it’s very rewarding to help bring them up to speed with the latest technology and hone their skills in this area. We’re especially interested in applicants with backgrounds in engineering, IT, project and programme management but not exclusively.”

The technology department in Vodafone Ireland is responsible for the design, planning and day-to-day management of the mobile and fixed network. It also manages the delivery of the company’s customer care and billing system.

Closing date for entries is 6 June.
