UPC Ireland released its second quarter results for 2013 showing a continued increase in its overall customer bsae, despite a continued decline in TV subscriptions.

Total subscriptions across broadband, TV and phone services were at 1,021,600, an increase of 76,000 over the same period last year and up from 1,012,600 in the first quarter.

Broadband subscriptions rose from 315,700 in Q1 to 321,300. Phone subscriptions were at 265,900 phone customers, up from 254,700 in Q1 and represented a 29% year-on-year growth.

Digital TV continued its slide, down from 382,300 in the first quarter to 377,400. This is despite the introduction of an on-demand service with a catalogue of TV box sets and films.
