Garmin Virb

Companies like GoPro have made a business out of ruggedised ‘action cameras’ made popular by athletes and extreme sports enthusiasts. Now Garmin is looking to enter this space with the Virb available in regular and ‘Elite’ models.
Both models come with a 1.4" display; three hours battery life; and shoot 1280×720 footage at 60fps and 16MP stills. Both models are compatible with multiple mounts and, of course, can be worn like a watch or head lamp.
The Elite model adds GPS, making it the better buy of the two models.

Price: $300 (Virb), $400 (Virb Elite)

Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3

How big is too big when it comes to a smartphone? Samsung may be about to find out with the Mega 6.3, the largest smartphone to arrive on the UAS market to date. The handset comes with a 6.3" display with 720p resolution; 1.7GHz processor; 1.5Gb RAM; 16Gb internal memory; and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
Will the massive screen size make up for lacklustre specs behind it? AT&T customers in the US will have first crack at it on Friday, so we’ll know more then.
