Data centre provider TelecityGroup Ireland is to create 10 engineering jobs at a new facility under construction in Blanchardstown, Dublin. The centre is scheduled to open this summer.

TelecityGroup currently employs 60 people in Dublin across three facilities at Northwest Business Park in Dublin. The Blanchardstown centre will host international, national and metropolitan Tier 1 and 2 carriers, ISPs and content distribution networks.

Maurice Mortell, VP of emerging markets & managing director of TelecityGroup Ireland, said: “We have seen a significant increase in demand from new and existing customers for high capacity, diverse and low latency connectivity – especially to the United States… Our [Blanchardstown] centre will offer a high number of connectivity providers and will employ a large engineering team on a 24/7 basis to monitor and maintain the data centre and provide a continuous high level of service.”
