TEKenable sets its sights on the UAE

TEKenable has announced that it will be continuing its expansion through the opening of a new trading office in Dubai. It is hoped that the new office will aid in the targeting of international markets for cloud computing development projects. The move makes TEKenable the first Irish business to provide cloud computing services to the UAE.

The new Dubai office is already attracting attention and has garnered some considerable projects from customers in the region. It has been forcasted that the Dubai office could achieve a turnover in excess of €600,000 in its first 18 months of operation.

The move reflects the significant growth that the software development company having been enjoying over the past number of years, seeing it cultivate operations in a number of countries including UK, Pakistan and now Dubai. The growth of TEKenable’s presence in international markets has been attributed to a strong drive towards technical excellence and successful project delivery.

This flourish of growth has been reflected in the Dublin office where in the last year the number of staff doubled from 20 to 40. Earlier this year the company launched Ireland’s only Cloud Computing Centre of Excellence based at their corporate headquarters in Dublin.

When speaking about the new Dubai office, Peter Rose, director of TEKenable commented that, “the new office in Dubai has received support from Enterprise Ireland. They recognised that as part of a national strategy to build Ireland’s smart economy, ther are very significant opportunities to attract foreign companies to use facilities like our Cloud Computing Centre of Excellence in Dublin for their software development projects.”

Newly appointed CEO of TEKenable UAE, Muhammad Z Khan remarked that, “our intention is to leverage our assets and partners in Ireland to provide the financial sector and public sector in Dubai and the UAE/Saudi Arabia/Qatar, with many strong services in Cloud Computing.”
