Team Ireland selected for World Cyber Games

After an intensely competitive weekend of gaming at The Digital Hub, the winners of the eircom World Cyber Games Ireland 2008 has been selected.

The Team will represent Ireland at the international finals of the World Cyber Games, which are considered the equivalent of the Olympics for computer gamers. Team Ireland will travel to Cologne in Germany from 5-9 November to compete against gamers from over 70 other countries.

Four members of the Irish squad will take on their international counterparts in Halo 3. The other three squad-members will compete individually in Project Gotham Racing 4 – also played on xBox – and Fifa 08 and Warcraft 3 on PC.
