Sharptext recently hosted an open day for retailer customers to coincide with the launch of its showroom facilities at its offices in Ballymount, Dublin. At the event, which was attended by over 100 customers, Sharptext also introduced its retail partnership programme, which, the company says, will offer retailers a single source for over 30 leading brands and access to volume pricing.
Grainne Ryan, brand product manager for retail told Irish Computer Channels that Sharptext has a dedicated retail team with four members – a business development manager, a brand product manager, a sales executive and a sales manager. “We’re fully dedicated to the retail trade. What the retail day was about was introducing some of the products to retailers,” explained Ryan.
Ryan said the showroom was something the company had been considering for some time. “We have so many of the A list brands and it’s an opportunity for our vendors to show their products if they don’t have a showroom in Ireland. And it’s an opportunity for us to show our full product range to our dealers,” she said.
The IT distributor is keen to build its relationship with the retail sector and sees it as a growing area. “We’re the largest IT distributor in Ireland and that’s a huge portion of the market that we want to concentrate on,” said Ryan.
