Sensormind has been shortlisted in partnership with Vodafone for the Best Mobile Health Product or Service award at the 18th Global Mobile Awards to be held at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on 26 February.

The Best Mobile Health Product or Service award highlights the area of mobile connectivity in healthcare, specifically its use in making healthcare affordable and accessible, with the added the benefits of applying mobile technology for prevention, diagnos, treatment and health system services.

Sensormind’s flagship service, Sensormind Independent Living, detects changes in a person’s behaviour patterns and raises an alert automatically, without the need for any direct action. The system is complementary to existing care services and offers an extra level of support for the vulnerable.

Vodafone director of M2M Erik Brenneis said: "Machine-to-machine (M2M) technology is transforming the way people work, live and engage with the world. This service is helping older and vulnerable people to live independently, and it empowers and reassures their carers. We are delighted to be working with Sensormind on this solution."
