QCL opens new Cork HQ

Cork-based IT company, QCL Technologies has just opened new EUR1m headquarters on the Monahan Road in Cork.

The company, now in its 15th year, employs over 30 people and expects this number of grow to 50 employees over the next two years.

QCL currently has more than 800 clients throughout the island of Ireland, providing complete hardware systems as well as customised and off-the-shelf business software, training and system support.

The company partners with a number of IT vendors, including HP/Compaq, Microsoft, IBM, Cisco, Multitech and 3Com. It also claims to have recently completed the largest ever single sale of McAfee Anti-Virus software in Ireland.

Although its headquarters are in Cork, QCL provides nationwide coverage through on-site support contracts, hardware and software helpdesks and telephone support.  Its Engineering Field Service department has outlets in Dublin, Kilkenny, Galway, and Monaghan.

Customers include Musgrave SuperValu Centra; Stryker Osteonics; Buckeye Technologies; O’Mahony Packaging (OMP); Port of Cork; The Shaw Group; Swansea Cork Ferries; Fluor Daniel; and East Cork Oil.
