Samsung’s latest flagship, the ultra-thin Galaxy S25 Edge, appears to have had very mediocre sales results, well below the company’s expectations.

The company has not released figures for the S25 Edge, which analysts say indicates disappointing sales performance .

In an effort to boost sales, Samsung increased pre-order bundles: It offered a free Galaxy Tab A9+ in the UK and discounts on wearables such as the Galaxy Watch Ultra and Buds 3 Pro in the US.

One reason is the price, which is close to the S25 Ultra, while specifications such as camera coverage and battery capacity are more limited.

Consumers seem skeptical about the added value of a thinner device and prefer functionally stronger models.

Rumours suggest Samsung is cutting production runs for the second quarter from 3 million to about 1.3 million units.
