Designed to appeal to those users who would use a paper planner, Palm has launched an easy-to-use and compact colour handheld organiser. The Palm Z22 organiser weighs just 96g and is about the same size as a deck of playing cards. It is compact and stylish with its white front and translucent blue backing. Small enough to fit into any purse, backpack or back pocket, it boasts a bright, colour display, making it easy for users to read names and addresses. Users can also colour-code appointments, and view and carry pictures of their friends and family wherever they go. The design of the Z22 is purposely simple and one touch of a button brings up appointments, addresses, restaurant recommendations and more.

Easy data backups to a PC are also catered for while users can also set up reminders for important events. Users won’t have to enter the same thing twice. Enter a recurring appointment once and tell the Palm Z22 organiser how often to repeat it. The device also allows users to carry digital photos and show those photos to family and friends on the bright colour screen. Software bundled with the organiser includes core applications, such as Calendar, Contacts, Memos, Tasks, Note Pad, Expense, Calculator, World Clock and Photos. It also includes a new game, Crazy Daisy, made by Astraware. The Palm Z22 organiser comes with AddIt, a program that includes a variety of applications such as CheckSplit, Chess, Carb Counter and Solitaire. The software CD, included with the organiser, has an ebook reader with three books and a dictionary; the Powerone Calculator, perfect for basic and advanced mathematics; and SplashShopper, a helpful shopping list application. A price for the Palm Z22 is €119.
