O2 Media launches cloud messaging service for business

A new cloud-based Text messaging service for SMEs which incorporates SMS, e-mail and a customer relationship management (CRM) tool has been released by O2 Media.

‘Communicate’ is aimed at companies who need to keep up with their customers, prospects or staff.

The CRM tool allows targeted, personalised text or e-mail messages to be sent to specific customers, individuals or groups, and can be personalised to include any fields such as name, appointment date or location. Communicate also enables companies to build their opt-in lists as it allows their customers to reply or opt-in directly to the platform inbox. O2 customers can pay for the service through their regular bill, while all other customers can pay via credit card.

Fintan Lonergan, managing director of O2 Media (pictured), said: "Since we piloted the service we are also finding a broad range of instances where businesses need to communicate with their stores or staff whether onsite or offsite, in a low cost and effective manner."
