Mobile operator O2 has launched a new online business store. The new service will allow SMEs and sole traders manage their mobile, fixed and broadband needs online without having to phone a call centre or visit a local store.

"We appreciate how busy small businesses are. The O2 online business store will help them fast track and manage all their vital communications requirements from their desk, at home or on the road at a time that suits them," said Alan Brown (pictured), business director at Telefónica Ireland, which operates the O2 brand.

With the O2 online store small businesses and sole traders can not only place orders for phones, fixed lines, broadband, accessories and car kits but can also: check which phones are due upgrades; update individual plans when travelling; check the status of orders; add or cancel individual subscriptions; and amend billing details.

"We are the first telecoms service provider to provide an online service like this which covers both small limited companies as well as sole traders," said Brown. "It reflects our commitment to delivering the best possible service to business customers of all sizes."
