Business Objects, a leading provider of Business Intelligence (BI) software products, recently announced that it is to establish a new operations centre at Park West Business Park, Dublin with the support of IDA Ireland.
The centre will serve customers in Europe, the United States, the Middle East, Asia and Africa, and will lead to the creation of up to 350 new jobs by 2006. The majority of new employees are expected to be graduates with skills in multi-lingual technical support, marketing, shared services, Intellectual Property (IP) management, global software localisation and product distribution. Currently,
the firm has more than 26,000 customers in over 80 countries.
Mr Jim Tolonen, chief financial officer with Business Objects said, ‘We are proud to be working with the Government, IDA and our new employees in Ireland to establish this centre in Dublin. Business Objects is a transnational organisation and we are proud to include Ireland as a new centre-of-excellence to support our worldwide operations’.
