Microsoft Ireland has launched AppMeUp, an developer initiative for Windows Phone. Aimed at students, hobbyists and developers, the programme seeks to encourage prospective developers to download and learn the tools required and publish their applications on the Windows Phone platform.
Entrants who sign up via the AppMeUP website and publish four Windows Phone apps between now and 22 June will be in the running for a Nokia Lumia 800 (one awarded at the end of each month). The submissions will be judged by both Microsoft and James Whelton, co founder of Coder Dojo.
"AppMeUp… allows developers that create epic apps to be recognised and fuel others to create the same" said James Whelton, founder of CoderDojo, "I look forward to having my mind blown."
