Office supplies firm Bryan S. Ryan has merged with document integration equipment specialist Office Evolutions Group in a deal expected to create significant value for shareholders following a EUR*15 million investment.
The two parties said in a joint statement that the deal positions the group as Ireland’s leading supplier of total business infrastructure solutions, with a combined turnover of over EUR*25 million and a strong brand portfolio.
Office Evolutions Group is Canon Ireland’s largest reseller, while Bryan S Ryan is the Irish distributor for Kyocera.
The merger will see the departure of Bryan S. Ryan MD Gary Rafter and company chairman Tom McCormick from the business.
Office Evolutions Group MD Brian Whyte will become CEO of the newly merged organisation, which will collectively employ more than 100 staff.
The remaining shareholders will form the board of directors of the new entity. They are Brian Whyte, Michael Cox, David Taylor, Gerry Cheung, Adrienne Prendergast, Jim Hand and Trevor Atkins
Commenting on the merger, Brian Whyte said the deal “unites two market leading and consistently profitable, indigenous Irish companies.”
Whyte added: “Our combined strength will enable us to offer new solutions and expertise, and provides us with a strong platform to accelerate growth and expansion into new markets.”
Bryan S. Ryan has been supplying office equipment to businesses since 1948. The firm is also a certified business partner of Dell and HP, and is a Microsoft Gold certified partner.
