Strencom Advanced Linux Solutions has become the first Red Hat Linux Advanced Server reseller in Ireland. Part of Strencom ISP, the Cork-based firm will sell and install the Red Hat Linux Advanced Server as well as providing consultancy and support services to enterprise customers.
‘As an ISP, we use Red Hat Linux products on our server infrastructure,’ said Tim Murphy, sales director for Strencom Advanced Linux Solutions. ‘Because it’s open source, we also have the flexibility to adapt the code to suit our requirements.’
Red Hat is offering direct support to companies throughout Ireland via Red Hat Network and Red Hat Professional Services. As a Certified Partner, Strencom will be part of the delivery mechanism for providing support to users.
